DTI for TBI in the Personal Injury Space
- There are > 3 million cases of TBI every year in the US at an estimated cost of $17 Billion annually
- However, 80% of TBI is mild TBI (mTBI), and this is often undiagnosed
- Standard CT and MRI scans with “negative” results cannot see microscopic TBI, only DTI can do this
- Newton’s 4th Law: It almost impossible to have blunt trauma resulting in spine or musculoskeletal injury without also having concurrent TBI
- DTI is the best way to objectively identify and characterize TBI
- TBI Imaging Associates can image your client locally, and provide Expert Witness interpretation and reporting within 2-4 weeks, at relatively low cost
